Program Coordinator, Globalization, Economics and Business Cohort

Dr. Hovander is an Assistant Professor of Economics and the Program Coordinator for the Globalization, Economics, and Business cohort of the Women's Leadership Program at the George Washington University. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, where she obtained her B.S. in Economics with certificates in Economic Theory & Quantitative Methods as well as Quantitative Managerial Economics. She also obtained her B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems. She completed her graduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, where she obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics. She is particularly interested in applying microeconomic theory to study issues pertaining to the legal system and has presented her research as an invited speaker at the Georgetown University Law School’s Seminar on Law and Economics.
