The Women’s Leadership Program (WLP), a year-long living and learning program, offers an academically challenging, interactive, and dynamic experience for first year students. The program fosters intellectual growth both in and out of the classroom through four distinct cohorts. Students receive individual attention from academic mentors who are passionate about their discipline area, want to develop leaders, and are committed to excellence in undergraduate education. Students reside together in Somers Hall located on the Mount Vernon Campus.

The WLP includes a weekly seminar series on leadership, the WLP Symposium. Students in the Women's Leadership Program participate in a weekly Thursday evening seminar class. The seminars include lectures by prominent leaders, workshops, and outings to DC area programs and talks, an opportunity for students to take advantage of the many resources available in Washington, D.C., while furthering their understanding of leadership.
