Our Mission

The Elizabeth J. Somers Women’s Leadership Program Student Advisory Board works collaboratively to establish itself as a prominent and influential team of student leaders, ensuring its presence as student activists is felt by both peers and administration alike. We are dedicated to making the board accessible to all and fostering an environment where everyone feels heard, recognized, and supported. We aim to create an approachable, trusted, and respected platform for our fellow community members. Central to our mission is being a powerful voice for students, advocating for their needs, and enhancing the program for current and future WLP members through both long and short-term projects.

We believe in the power of good vibes and a strong, supportive community in our competitive university landscape. Most importantly, we work to make all members of our community feel valued, heard, and supported. Ultimately, the EJS WLP SAB stands for the growth and success of every member of the Women’s Leadership Program. Empowered women empower women!

The Syllabus Bank is a data bank where you can hear feedback from WLP alums about different classes and what you should expect. If you would like to use it or submit your own syllabus review, the board made an instruction manual on this document and a syllabus bank walk through video.

Internship Bank

The Internship Bank is a data bank where WLP students can share and gather information on professional experiences or internship opportunities available through one another. You can access your peers' experiences here and, if you have trouble navigating it, the board has also made a video tutorial on how use the internship bank! If you would like to submit an experience, please use the Internship Bank Google Form here!
