This year, numerous WLP students and alumnae were recognized for their scholarship and work around GW and the world.

  • Kalpana Vissa (SHM 2014-15), Lauren Courtney (IP 2014-15), Kirsten Dimovitz (IP 2013-14), and Jocelyn Jacoby (IP 2013-14)members of leadership of GW Students Against Sexual Assault, Pyramid Winner for Student Organization of the Year
  • Mollie Bowman (IP 2012-13), Winner of the Wall of Fame Award

  • Emily Massel (IAC 2011-12), Cayla Machleit (GEB 2011-12) founder and co-founder Lemonade Day DC, Learning Through Action Award
  • Mollie Bowman (IP 2012-13), Manatt-Trachtenberg Prize
  • Meghan Culhane (IP 2012-13), Baer Award for Individual Excellence
  • Ayesha Monga Kravetz (SHM 2011-12), Outstanding Student Service Award (Individual)
  • Rebecca Bizzarri (IP 2015-16), Karena Halvorssen (IP 2015-16), and Elizabeth Nofziger (IP 2015-16), Student Employee of the Year Award
  • Brooke Cramberg (IP 2013-14), Student Organization Officer of the Year Award

  • Hannah Stambaugh (IAC 2012-13), 2015 Rosenthal Scholar, will be attending American University's School of Law this fall. She chose the program because "they have a formidable international human rights program."
  • Amanda Briggs (SHM 2013-14), will be a student advisor for the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in New York City and Boston this summer
  • Quyen Ha (SHM 2013-14), will be interning this summer for the the Department of the Interior at the National Park Service, creating programs and giving educational tours
  • Kalpana Vissa (SHM 2014-15), will be interning at the Centre Avenue Health and Rehab Facility this summer in the social services sector, and will also be volunteering as a patient companian at a mental health facility.
  • Aiesha Basha (SHM 2015-16), will be interning this summer at Health Leads, an organization that works with medical providers to connect low-income patients with access to community resources and health services.
  • Alexandra Mandel (SHM 2015-16), will be interning this summer at the National Institutes of Health in the Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes.
  • Denise Bruxelles (IAC 1999-00), has received a Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching grant to the United Kingdom.
