I’m glad to share that I received GW's J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Public Service Award. This award will be honoring upnaid work I’ll be doing this summer at GW’s Health and Cognitions lab in the psychology department. My volunteer work at the Health Cognitions and Behavior Lab this summer will involve exclusively working on Dr. Michelle Stock’s R21 research study. This research study aims to enhance understanding of and reduce HIV-related health disparities among at-risk populations, specifically young adult African Americans. The proposed research will help inform interventions by targeting psychological and social processes involved with HIV-risk behavior that could be modified in the future.

I am currently studying abroad in Valparaíso, Chile! I have had the opportunity to travel to Patagonia in the south and to San Pedro de Atacama, which has the third largest salt flat in the world, in the north of Chile! Once my semester ends in July, I hope to travel to Easter Island, as well as Buenos Aires in Argentina! Additionally, this past fall semester I was promoted to senior supervisor and coordinator of the CSA program of GWPD!
