On November 5, the WLP symposium created space for students to connect with one another while playing games, practicing mindfulness, or exploring their inner creative spaces. The WLP Self-Care Night was inspirational and so much fun. I loved trying to create a TikTok dance and watching Michelle Obama dance with Ellen. I also enjoyed having a conversation with WLP alumni about managing my time for all of my classes. It was really helpful. Showing each other memes was fun as well. It felt good to laugh and not think about any midterms or essays. Even though we are virtual, I feel like we can still connect with each other in a different way that brings everyone together! WLP has been a great experience and had a major impact on my life as a young lady.

Dana Sultan:

The symposium last week was a blessing. It was wonderful hearing from some of the most inspiring women that all was going to be more than okay, and that self-care matters. It was comforting to hear that I wasn’t the only person feeling lost at 17 years old, and that we’re all on a journey of growth together. I’m looking forward to learning more through the amazing women in this program, and the amazing guest speakers who will come to visit the symposiums throughout the rest of this year.
